These terms cover your use of Open Ajar. By using the site or creating an account, you agree to them.

Who can use Open Ajar

You must be at least 13 to use Open Ajar. If you are under 18, use it only with the permission and awareness of a parent or guardian. Give accurate information when you sign up and keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.

What Open Ajar is, and is not

Open Ajar is a directory and set of tools that help you find and keep track of opportunities such as internships, programs, scholarships, competitions and jobs. The opportunities themselves are run by other organizations, not by us.

We link to each organization’s official page, and you apply there. We try to keep listings accurate and label how well each has been checked, but deadlines, costs and eligibility can change without notice. Always confirm details on the official page before you apply or rely on them. We don’t control these organizations or their decisions and aren’t responsible for them.

Submitting opportunities

If you submit an opportunity, you confirm the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you may share it. Submissions are reviewed first, and we may edit, reject, expire or remove any listing. Don’t submit false, misleading, spam or off-topic listings.

Intern applications

Applying to intern through Open Ajar does not guarantee a placement. Any internship is an arrangement between you and the host business.

Using the site responsibly

Don’t try to break, overload, scrape or gain unauthorized access to the site or other people’s accounts, and don’t use it to harm others or break the law.

Provided as is

Open Ajar is a free service provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We don’t promise it will always be available or error-free, or that any listed opportunity will be available or lead to a particular result. To the extent the law allows, Open Ajar and its founders are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or any opportunity you find through it.

Ending use

You can stop using Open Ajar and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. Continuing to use Open Ajar means you accept the updated terms.
