What it is
Unpaid job shadowing (observership) for current high-school students in outpatient clinics and office settings, and some inpatient areas for ages 16 and up.
Who it’s for
At least 14 years old and a current high-school student; ages 16+ may shadow in some inpatient areas; the school must coordinate the request (no individual student requests).
What you’ll likely need
- School coordinator emails StudentShadowing@NationwideChildrens.org
- Submit at least four weeks before the requested date
- Complete all hospital paperwork
- Follow the professional dress code
