What it is
Year-long mentored science research for New York City high-school students, with a four-week August summer institute (including Black Rock Forest fieldwork), twice-weekly after-school mentor meetings, and monthly workshops.
Who it’s for
Currently in 10th or 11th grade; must live and attend school in New York City; passing classes for the last three or more semesters; complete or take specific science programs or attend one of 60+ partner high schools.
What you’ll likely need
- Short-answer questions (relationship with science, motivation, availability, teamwork)
- no transcripts or recommendation letters required
- Interview in April
